5 Things To Look For When Buying Sportswear

5 things to look for when buying sportswear in ,

Sportswear should be comfortable when you are working out. To make sure you are buying the right sports wear, we have summarised 5 things to look for when you are about to make the decisions.

1. Moisture control

There’s nothing more uncomfortable when your clothes have gone soaking wet in the middle of a work out. When you are looking to buy activewear, you should always make sure to look whether  the garment has moisture wicking technology. Our yoga shorts are made with 75% nylon, which helps wick away the moisture when working out.

2. Thermal

You feel the difference between cheap sportswear and premium  sportswear when you are out running in a below  0°c environment. There’s nothing worse to feel hot when you are running and frozen after your outdoor workout. If you are living in a colder climate, it is imperative to look at whether the activewear has thermal technology.

3. Chafing

Chafing is something that every marathon runner would relate. The spectrum can include anything from the painful or uncomfortable result of friction from skin or clothing to more serious welts and rashes. It can occur anywhere on your body, the  most likely areas you would get are underarm, thighs, nipple area and groin. To avoid chafing, you should get activewear that is seamless and doesn’t make you itch. Look out for the fabric composition in your activewear and feel it against your skin to see if it might chafe when you move.

4. Stretch

Nothing more embarrassing when you squat, your gym bottoms split.  Normally, sportswear is made with 2-way stretch material which means it stretches in 2 directions. Premium sports wear would use with 4-way stretch materials which will lead to less wear and tear and better freedom of movement as you train. Our sports leggings  are made with premium 4 way stretch nylon which you don’t need to worry when you squat.

5. Odour

It is inevitable that we all sweat when we work out, but you don’t necessarily have to have bad odour as a result.  Non sweat wicking fabrics such as cotton will absorb all all your sweat, which will cling to your underarms, leading to a higher risk of having bad odour. Light fabrics such as nylon will help wick away your moisture and reduce the risk of storing the odour in your underarm. Did you know that our sports bras are made with premium nylon, which is super soft and stretchy?
